- Dried tangerine peel is used as a traditional seasoning in Chinese cooking and traditional medicine. It has a pungent with slightly bitter taste. A study has shown that tangerine peel contains 20 times the antioxidant in juice and hence could have significant potential for lowering cholesterol and fight against free radicals.
